IFS announced that IFS Cloud has been updated and is now available to the general public with new features and simplified composable applications. The twice-yearly release cycle of IFS enables customers to continuously evolve their solutions without the need for major upgrades or migrations, allowing them to focus on business transformation.
IFS Chief Product Officer Christian Pedersen commented, “The updates we have built into the latest release of IFS Cloud are meaningful for our customers, both in how customers engage with the software through the UX improvements, as well as the additional functionality that has been added to help them manage and address the issues they face and the opportunities ahead of them.”
He added, “An example of this is the new IFS Cloud Sustainability Hub – there is no customer who does not want to improve the impact they are having on the environment and communities we all work in. Sustainability is a critical item for not only our planet but IFS and our customers. We continue to see the world over that businesses want and need to transform to prosper. Therefore, having regular, meaningful updates to our platform is key to enabling customers to remain evergreen and empowered to continually drive value from their software.”
“We’ve been expanding our digital transformation globally with IFS’s help, and since we initiated IFS Cloud six months ago, it’s proving to be key in how we deliver on our ambitions,” said pioneer IFS customer Cimcorp’s Director of Corporate IT, Pekka Nurmi.
He also said, “IFS Cloud provides a big step forward in technology and capability for us and our customers and will continue to support our global growth strategy. The biggest value provided by IFS Cloud is the ease of use for the everyday end user – our users are excited and also our management has shown particular interest in the new user interface and functionalities.”
The most recent version of IFS Cloud adds a slew of creative, industry-specific new features. For one thing, IFS Cloud Sustainability Hub is now available and integrated into Microsoft Teams, allowing businesses to collect the data they need to show compliance and improve their performance against environmental sustainability requirements. Second, IFS Cloud for HCM and Talent Management solutions now give you the option of employing simple or out-of-the-box functionality for recruiting, onboarding, and developing your most valuable asset – your employees.
New APIs that connect industrial machines with IFS Cloud are now available, resulting in a connected shopfloor that provides real-time intelligence to help firms better manage their supply chain and production in line with demand. Machine learning is used in the new Intelligent Asset Monitoring and Maintenance functionality to boost predictive maintenance capabilities and efficiency.
The new Advanced Analytics tool, which can be accessed through the user-customizable Lobbies, uses modular tabular analysis models to provide business-critical information that is relevant to the user. End users can see their data in real-time, detailed graphical renderings that are tailored to how they access and consume data, lowering the skills required to make insights accessible to everybody.
The platform’s UX has also been enhanced as a market differentiation and ongoing catalyst for IFS Cloud’s evolution. New branding options enable customers to include their own look and feel, resulting in a more engaging user experience. Users may link data, insights, activities, and transactions in one location by adding customization and analytical capabilities.
