As artificial intelligence (AI) workloads increasingly move to the network edge, the demand for improved visibility at remote data center sites has surged. In response, Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions company, has unveiled Vertiv™ Environet™ Connect, an innovative cloud-connected and web-based fleet management and monitoring solution.

Environet™ Connect offers a device-agnostic interface, capable of managing diverse data center infrastructure equipment across multiple locations, irrespective of the manufacturer. This new solution is now available in Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and North America.

The platform accelerates the deployment of remote Vertiv equipment and enhances its operational health and efficiency by facilitating mass provisioning and firmware updates for network management cards. It provides robust monitoring capabilities, offering oversight of UPS systems, rack power distribution units (PDUs), generators, and thermal units, with customizable and configurable alarm notifications.

“Edge deployments are expanding rapidly, driven by real-world AI applications like large language models, predictive analytics, and autonomous vehicles,” said Wesley Lim, Vice President of Software and Digital Solutions at Vertiv. “As these applications migrate to the edge to minimize latency and prevent processing bottlenecks, Environet™ Connect provides a secure, user-friendly, and web-accessible monitoring solution that enhances operational visibility and maximizes uptime in remote environments.”

Environet™ Connect is available to direct customers and channel-managed service provider (MSP) partners, supporting multi-tenancy and simplifying the user experience for all types of users.

To complement Environet™ Connect, Vertiv offers a range of services including software training, customer help desk support, and asset management. These services cover technical support, firmware updates, device provisioning, and remote monitoring.

Additionally, Vertiv has recently introduced Vertiv™ 360AI, its comprehensive portfolio for High-Performance Compute (HPC) and AI deployments, which includes power, cooling, enclosures, lifecycle services, and digitized management. Environet™ Connect integrates seamlessly within this AI ecosystem, providing a unified interface for all solutions.
