Yahsat Forum Highlights Space Tech Solutions in Zimbabwe

Yahsat, the UAE’s premier satellite solutions provider, recently organized a significant forum in Harare, Zimbabwe, aimed at demonstrating its cutting-edge space technology solutions to key government officials. The event, held in partnership with Satcom Technologies, Yahsat’s newly appointed partner in Zimbabwe, highlighted the potential for satellite communications to revolutionize essential services across the country.

The forum, which took place at the Hyatt Regency on 17 July, featured live demonstrations of Yahsat’s latest Telemedicine and e-Learning solutions. Government representatives from various Zimbabwean ministries attended, witnessing firsthand how Yahsat’s state-of-the-art technology can bridge digital divides and enhance connectivity in remote areas.

Ali Al Hashemi, Yahsat’s Group CEO, expressed satisfaction with the event’s outcome, noting, “Our satellite-based solutions enable reliable access to critical services like e-Learning and Telemedicine, even in the most isolated regions. We are pleased with the interest shown by the Zimbabwean Government in leveraging these capabilities to advance their education and healthcare sectors.”

Sulaiman Al Ali, Yahsat’s Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the strategic importance of their partnership with Satcom Technologies, stating, “Collaborating with Satcom Technologies allows us to strengthen Zimbabwe’s connectivity infrastructure, fostering economic growth and development.”

Tafadzwa Collins Semu, CEO of SATCOM Technologies, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the success of the live demonstrations in showcasing Yahsat’s advanced capabilities. “The partnership with Yahsat enables us to deliver vital solutions across various sectors in Zimbabwe, with strong interest demonstrated by government ministries,” he remarked.

Yahsat’s agreement with Satcom Technologies underscores its commitment to enhancing Zimbabwe’s technological landscape, providing satellite broadband services through YahClick in 28 African countries. These initiatives aim to empower communities by facilitating access to government services and promoting economic sustainability.
