SACO has deployed Infor WMS (warehouse management system) with Infor ION and Loftware Labelling, a third-party solution, according to Infor. The Infor WMS is designed to optimize order processing and picking, improve put-away, and speed up the loading and validation procedures. It is fully linked with SACO’s SAP ERP platform using Infor ION. SNS, an Infor partner that specializes in supply chain consulting and software installation, was in charge of the project.

Following a merger in 2016, Infor WMS will support SACO’s warehouse operations, which are managed by its logistics services supplier MEDSCAN. MEDSCAN’s unique and integrated logistics solutions include the best personnel, procedures, and systems to move products more efficiently, and the retail and wholesale behemoth will use the Infor WMS gateway in particular to streamline financials and billing.
With eight warehouses, huge order volumes, and over 40,000 SKUs, SACO needed a solution to improve warehouse management performance. The retail and wholesale company needed to improve its picking processes as well as permit seamless interaction with its ERP platform to ensure a real-time view of operations at all times and speed decision-making.
