Abu Dhabi Judiciary Earns 2023 Cloud Innovation Award

In 2023, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department received the Cloud Infrastructure Innovation Award from VMware, a multinational company. This prestigious accolade acknowledges the Department’s pioneering efforts in utilizing cloud computing to transform the justice system in Abu Dhabi.

Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, the undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, highlighted that the remarkable accomplishments of the department reflect the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Al Abri emphasized that this vision is manifested in streamlined procedures and easily accessible services, empowering citizens and businesses across the region. The department’s commitment to excellence is underscored by various awards and quality certifications.

Al Abri stressed the importance of adopting stringent international standards in the Judicial Department’s digital transformation journey. This commitment aims to leverage technological advancements for quick, efficient services, enhancing the quality of judicial services in a creative and innovative manner, aligning with the Abu Dhabi government’s directives for excellence and leadership.

Ahmed Ibrahim Al Marzouqi, the Executive Director of the Administrative Support Sector at the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, highlighted the department’s significant progress in cloud computing and technical infrastructure development. With over 80% of its servers being virtual, the department’s achievements in this area were pivotal in earning the Cloud Infrastructure Innovation Award. Al Marzouqi explained that the department initiated the establishment of internal cloud computing in 2016, and by 2020, the infrastructure was fully equipped to enhance business continuity between primary and backup data centers.
