The Abu Dhabi Government showcased its dedication to technological innovation at the start of GITEX Global 2023 by launching two significant initiatives. The first is the Driver Emergency Alert System (DEAS) by the Abu Dhabi Police, enhancing road safety and traffic crisis management. Major General Staff Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, emphasized the commitment to road safety and citizen well-being.
The second project is Al Rasid, an AI-powered platform introduced by the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority (ADAA) to ensure transparency and operational excellence in both government and private sector entities. Al Rasid employs advanced analytics, over 200 rules, and more than 20 dashboards to facilitate data analysis and ethical governance, particularly identifying conflicts of interest.
These initiatives were presented at the Abu Dhabi Government pavilion, which featured 30 government departments unveiling various programs to enhance services and the quality of life in the emirate. Additionally, several other government entities launched projects aimed at driving digital transformation in areas such as communications, safety, protection, and analytics.
Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD) introduced its Insight and Foresight Platform, employing AI and ML to streamline government efforts and improve efficiency.
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority (ADCDA) presented its T-Sat methodological training system and Hemaya digital platform, enhancing safety documentation for facilities and buildings.
The Rasid Dashboard, launched by Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council, aids in monitoring wastewater samples to improve public health and safety.
Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence unveiled the Metaverse Lab – Universal Translator, an AI system for communication, entertainment, and education.
Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination introduced a Digital Call Centre for Deaf People of Determination, offering geolocation and emergency assistance.
