Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) and Khazna Data Centres (Khazna) join hands to bolster Abu Dhabi’s data economy and enhance its stature as a technology and innovation hub.

Khazna, renowned for its hyperscale wholesale data centre solutions, will construct a state-of-the-art data centre in Mafraq, Abu Dhabi, initially capable of supporting 30MW, utilizing government-owned land under a Musataha agreement facilitated by ADIO.

Expected to commence operations by mid-2026, this advanced facility will significantly augment Abu Dhabi’s existing sophisticated data infrastructure, addressing the escalating demand for data centre services across the UAE and the broader region. Consequently, it will play a pivotal role in nurturing Abu Dhabi’s technology sector growth and development.

Under the Musataha programme, ADIO collaborates with Khazna, leveraging government land resources to drive knowledge-based economic expansion. Khazna, holding a long-term leasing contract, will undertake the construction and operation of the facility, poised to stimulate substantial economic activity and create high-value job opportunities upon launch.

Mansoor Al Bastaki, Head of Musataha at ADIO, emphasized the critical role of data in steering Abu Dhabi’s economic trajectory, expressing pride in supporting initiatives that enrich the city’s digital infrastructure. Leveraging Musataha as a catalyst, ADIO empowers investors to accelerate towards their business objectives, fostering both immediate impact and sustainable value for Abu Dhabi.
