Amazon Payment Services has addressed payment innovation at Seamless Middle East. Amazon Payment Services gave a presentation at Seamless Middle East 2021 about why “Customer Obsession Is Key to Reimagining Digital Payments.” Amazon Payment Services had a great first year at Seamless Middle East by winning the Seamless Award for ‘Best Payments Experience’ at the event.

Managing Director Peter George was recently appointed to lead Amazon Payment Services, a payment processing service that operates across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to empower online businesses with a simple, affordable, and trusted payment experience, gave presentation. George brings over 20 years of expertise in digital services to the post. He is a 10-year Amazon veteran and an experienced leader with a passion for developing the future of digital commerce.

During his talk, George discussed the customer-obsessed attitude and how payment service providers can use it to discover consumer pain spots and create a more convenient payment experience which is seamless and secure.

“Customer obsession means dedicating yourself to creating the best customer experience possible in all ways by putting their needs first and making business decisions accordingly. We built Amazon Payment Services on this philosophy, using our deep understanding of businesses’ needs across the region to empower organizations with safe and seamless online payment experiences,” George said.

He added: “The key to forging closer relationships with our merchants has always been communication. We maintain an open dialogue with our clients and multiple feedback mechanisms across a number of channels to ensure that our merchants can always reach out to us with feedback, comments or requests for assistance.”

Since rebranding from PAYFORT, Amazon Payment Services will be attending Seamless Middle East 2021 for the first time. Amazon Payment Services hopes to contribute to the exciting discussions surrounding digital payments and fintech, get closer to existing and prospective clients and build dialogues with them, and connect with like-minded businesses who share Amazon Payment Services’ passion for innovation and customer obsession through their participation.

AWS PrivateLink connects Amazon Payment Services merchants on AWS with all downstream payment partners easily, securely, and privately, without exposing customer payment transaction data to the internet.
