The new AXIS W101 Body Worn Camera from Axis Communications has been released. The new wearable, which Axis Communications refers to as “the body-worn camera for everyone,” was developed by the company to provide the benefits of body-worn recording technology to a variety of brand-new markets and industries.
AXIS W101 is available in two colours – white for discretion and black for when deterrence is a priority – making it compatible with more applications. The included mobile app for viewing and labelling in the field makes it ideal for anyone wanting fast, easy access to the video.
The product’s camera gives better image and audio quality with sharp images in every frame and noise suppression allows for clear audio. It delivers more natural colours with less noise in low light scenes as well as enhanced contrast and sharpness, and it ensures less motion blur thanks to shorter shutter times. Additionally, it has a better mounting space for stable recordings in any circumstance. Voice enhancers also amplify voice content for audible speaking.
Compared to its predecessor, AXIS W101 supports more GNSS systems including GPS, Glonass, and Galileo and delivers improved location tracking. Featuring a large, easy-to-reach button, it starts recordings with a single tap. The camera takes 90 seconds to buffer up before it’s activated so the whole encounter is captured.
Based on open standards, this body-worn camera offers easy integration with AXIS Camera Station and AXIS Case Insight as well as with third-party VMS and EMS, either on-site or in the cloud.
Key features include:
The camera is cost-effective with an operating time of 17 hours with over 12 hours at 1080p.It charges on the go with any USB-C charger.
With the help of Axis Zipstream technology, people may store as much video as they need without losing quality. End-to-end encryption on the AXIS W101 satisfies FBI cybersecurity criteria. Additionally, Axis Edge Vault secures the Axis device ID and makes network authorisation for Axis devices simpler.
