CommScope, a prominent technology company, has introduced a groundbreaking AI-powered software designed to optimize network capacity, efficiency, and quality for broadband operators. The new product, called ServAssure® Profile Optimizer, is part of CommScope’s ServAssure NXT Performance Management portfolio and aims to enhance the overall performance of broadband services.

By leveraging advanced AI algorithms, ServAssure Profile Optimizer enables operators to increase network capacity, improve performance, enhance user experience, and reduce operational expenditure. The software utilizes extensive data collected from devices on operators’ access networks, which is then fed into an AI engine for analysis. Based on this analysis, the software generates DOCSIS 3.1 modulation profiles, resulting in improved stability and higher performance for broadband operators.

Norlys, a leading provider of multi-gigabit broadband services in Denmark, is the first operator to benefit from the advantages of ServAssure Profile Optimizer. The deployment of this software has empowered Norlys to proactively optimize and enhance the performance of its DOCSIS 3.1 fixed access network, thereby delivering superior broadband services and user experiences.

One of the key benefits of ServAssure Profile Optimizer is its ability to enhance channel efficiency by remotely configuring the Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) using software-driven techniques. This optimization leads to a further reduction in operational expenditure for operators.

CommScope’s senior vice president and segment president of Access Networks Solutions, Guy Sucharczuk, expressed his excitement about collaborating with Norlys on the deployment of this AI-based module. He emphasized that the solution would enable Norlys to efficiently manage the complexity of its network while enhancing its overall performance.

Gert Rieder, vice president of Norlys, also shared his enthusiasm, highlighting the advanced capabilities of CommScope’s AI-based ServAssure Profile Optimizer. Rieder expressed confidence that this solution would enable Norlys to provide exceptional broadband services to its customers.

The newly developed software-based technology can be deployed either in the cloud or on premises within the private cloud of multiple-service operators (MSOs). This flexibility supports various deployment options for customers’ network functions virtualization (NFV) strategies, both in the present and for future evolution.
