Dell Technologies (NYSE: DELL) has unveiled new offerings aimed at assisting customers in rapidly and securely building generative AI (GenAI) models on-premises. These solutions are designed to accelerate advancements, drive intelligence, and enhance outcomes for businesses.

The Dell Generative AI Solutions, an extension of the previously announced Project Helix in May, encompass IT infrastructure, PCs, and professional services. The goal is to simplify the adoption of full-stack GenAI with large language models (LLM) and cater to organizations at various stages of their GenAI journey. By leveraging these solutions, businesses of all sizes and industries can securely transform their operations and achieve better outcomes.

Jeff Clarke, vice chairman and co-chief operating officer of Dell Technologies, emphasized the significant impact of Generative AI on innovation and customer experience during an investor call. He highlighted how customers, regardless of their size, can utilize their own data and business context to effectively integrate advanced AI into their core processes using Dell’s infrastructure solutions.

Manuvir Das, vice president of Enterprise Computing at NVIDIA, also stressed the transformative potential of Generative AI. Dell Technologies and NVIDIA are collaborating to enable organizations to harness this capability, enhance customer service, support employees more comprehensively, and drive innovation across their operations.

The Dell Generative AI Solutions encompass a wide range of products from Dell’s portfolio, including Dell Precision workstations, Dell PowerEdge servers, Dell PowerScale scale-out storage, Dell ECS enterprise object storage, and an array of services. This diversity of offerings ensures that GenAI solutions can be delivered effectively, whether on desktops, core data centers, edge locations, or public clouds.

For example, CyberAgent, a major Japanese digital advertising company, selected Dell servers, equipped with NVIDIA H100 GPUs optimized for generative AI applications, as their key IT infrastructure for generative AI development and digital advertising.

To provide a comprehensive and validated solution, Dell and NVIDIA jointly engineered the Dell Validated Design for Generative AI with NVIDIA, which serves as an inferencing blueprint for enterprise-level applications. This solution overcomes the challenges of scaling traditional inferencing approaches and supporting LLMs for real-time results, enabling organizations to generate higher-quality, faster predictions and decisions using their own data.

Dell Professional Services offer a range of capabilities to expedite GenAI adoption, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation. These services include creating a GenAI strategy, implementing the Dell Validated Design for GenAI with NVIDIA, adopting the platform for specific use cases, and scaling services through managed services, training, and resident experts.

For secure GenAI development, Dell Precision workstations provide AI developers and data scientists with the flexibility to develop and fine-tune GenAI models locally before deploying them on a larger scale. These workstations boast high performance, reliability, and integrated AI software, such as Dell Optimizer, which optimizes performance across applications, network connectivity, and audio.

James Laird, chief operating officer of Intelligent Voice, expressed how Dell’s AI solutions, combined with recent AI advancements, enable their company to swiftly build, test, and deploy high-quality models to meet the demands of their customers in various aspects of their business.

Overall, Dell Technologies aims to empower enterprises with the potential of Generative AI, providing them the tools and services needed to succeed in an increasingly intelligent and technology-driven world.
