The Dubai Police General Headquarters reached a significant milestone in fostering a secure digital environment by concluding their 3rd eSports Tournament. Beyond a mere gaming platform, the event engaged the esports community, promoted digital literacy, security, and raised awareness about online safety.

The eXTREMESLAND 2023 Counter-Strike 2 Middle East Championship, held on December 10 at the esteemed Dubai Police Officers Club, stood out as a major attraction. Teams from across the Middle East competed, with the winning team representing Dubai Police in the grand finals in China on January 26–28, 2024.

Since the inaugural eXTREMESLAND CS: GO Asia Cup in 2016, eXTREMESLAND has consistently hosted successful gaming events, covering over 32 nations in the Middle East, Asia, and Pacific regions. It has significantly impacted the competitive gaming scene, becoming a key player in the development of esports in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. The forward-thinking strategy has propelled the expansion of esports, providing a platform for emerging talent and contributing to the global esports narrative.

Manish Bakshi, Managing Director, BenQ Middle East, expressed enthusiasm, highlighting Dubai Police’s progressive approach and dedication to building a robust gaming community in the UAE.

Twelve elite teams showcased their tactics in the Counter-Strike 2 event, overseen by Four04 Esports staff. First Lieutenant Saeed Adel Al Suwaidi emphasized the collaboration with BenQ as an opportunity to engage with youth, educate them about digital pitfalls, and promote online safety.

UAE’s participation in eXTREMESLAND 2023 reflects the region’s growing esports acceptance. The success of the tournament demonstrates the UAE’s potential as a hub for international gaming events.
