Eaton has announced the introduction of the next generation of its Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS). The 5PX Gen2 has been designed with efficiency and flexibility in mind, resulting in the lower total cost of ownership, ease of operation, and improved service continuity. With cybersecurity in mind, the 5PX Gen2 is designed for today’s most demanding corporate and Edge IT applications.

Mr. Ashraf Yehia, Managing Director, Eaton Middle East, stated: “This latest addition to Eaton’s UPS range brings new innovations in performance, flexibility, and cybersecurity. Reduced cost of ownership and flexibility make them ideal for use in today’s challenging IT environments. “

The new Eaton 5PX Gen2 UPS delivers best-in-class line-interactive power protection to enterprise networks and Edge IT devices, maximizing IT space and ensuring service continuity. Eaton 5PX Gen 2 includes advanced features for remote monitoring, IT architecture integration, and remote deployment. Eaton’s Intelligent Power Software works with the most popular virtualization systems and cloud orchestration software.

The 5PX Gen2’s configuration is simple and intuitive, thanks to the revolutionary graphical LCD display. To make the UPS setup procedure easier, the UPS has a simple start-up configuration wizard. The Eaton Gigabit network management card, which is optional, allows for remote management and software upgrades.

Because of its unity power factor capability, the 5PX Gen2 provides 11 percent more power to connected servers than conventional UPSs. It’s Energy Star 2.0 certified, ensuring optimal efficiency throughout the board. Each outlet group’s energy use is metered and displayed on display as well as through Eaton’s Intelligent Power Manager.

Connected devices can be prioritized to ensure that critical services are available at all times. Load segment control makes power switching and disaster recovery a breeze. Dual cybersecurity certifications (UL 2900-1 and IEC 62443-4-2) and connectivity to Eaton’s Cyber Secured Monitoring cloud further protect digital content.

The 5PX Gen2 is offered in four sizes, ranging from 1000 to 3000 VA, and may be used in both rack and tower configurations. The 5PX Gen2 2200VA & 3000VA are available in RT2U (rack-mountable) or RT3U formats (for tower or short-depth racks). All of the models come with pedestals and rail kits. Eaton’s enhanced connected warranty is available for the 5PX Gen2.
