GSD announces James Harb as general manager

James Harb has been named the company’s new general manager for Gulf Software Distribution.

James will be in charge of GSD’s market expansion, revenue, and channel strategy in his new position. His considerable experience pushing creative ideas and positive change and his ability to develop partnerships and synergy with regional clients will aid the company’s expansion in the Gulf markets.

Commenting on his appointment, James Harb said, “I’m excited to lead GSD through this important phase of growth and believe we have a unique opportunity to make an impact in the regional market. I look forward to working alongside my team to offer compelling solutions that support our customer’s growth ambitions, particularly at a time of digitization and huge regional transformation.”

James brings over 25 years of senior management expertise to the table. He has extensive experience developing and directing organizational strategy, corporate transformation, and the establishment of strategic alliances and partnerships. He has a track record of driving product expansion, growing revenues, and improving profits in highly competitive local and international markets.

Prior to this, James was the regional sales and operations manager for Blue Tech Gulf. He also has a long history with IBM Middle East, where he held numerous leadership positions and was responsible for increasing revenue and growing the partner ecosystem for nearly two decades.

Gulf Software Distribution (GSD) is a Value Added Distributor (VAD) that assists Business Partners in expanding their market reach and expanding their businesses. GSD is the largest IBM Value Added Distributor in the Gulf region, as well as the sole distributor of Cloudflare’s adjacent technologies.
