In Conversation with AOC and its future plan in Jordanian market

An interview with Carol Anne Dias, Regional Sales Director, MEA, AOC & Philip Monitor, brands known for producing a wide range of affordable monitors that cater to different needs, to talk about the company’s presence in Jordan and its future.

TechX: Please share some details about your recent event in Jordan

AOC: The event was primarily to launch Philips monitors in Jordan and to get the partners and resellers on one platform. Close to 40 members were in attendance from all across Jordan – Amman, Zarqa and Irbid.  The idea was to connect with the channel and make it an interactive and highly engaging session.  Mr. Hisham Tolba, Sales Manager for Middle East and Africa conducted a presentation on the hero products of Philips Monitors, showcasing the latest technology in  up-coming models. The members were thrilled to get a hands-on experience on hero products which were on display. This was followed by an award ceremony for the top achievers of 2022 for AOC Monitors, shortly followed by some gaming sessions on the monitors on display and a scrumptious dinner.

TechX: Tell us about your recent launches in the Middle East region for AOC? 

AOC: In the Middle East, AOC has launched a range of gaming and non-gaming monitors. 

AOC caters to both amateur and professional gamers. Response rate ranging from 144Hz – 360Hz, refresh rate starting from 0.5ms and screen size from 24” to 49”, monitors are enabled with FreeGync, GSync , AMD Premium and more. We have multiple series such as G3, Porsche Design, AGON and AGON Pro series catering to a wide range of gamers.

The business monitor screens from AOC are between 18 and 34 inches. The V5 line of AOC monitors, equipped with a Windows Hello webcam and USB-C, was recently introduced in the Middle East. Flicker-free technology (which lessens flicker to provide you with a more comfortable watching experience) and low blue mode are included on all of our gaming and non-gaming monitors. (ensures a healthy viewing experience for prolonged computer use). 

TechX: Talking more about the new launch for Jordan market, how strong is your channel in the region to feed customer demands for AOC?

AOC: AOC has been in Jordan market catering to gaming and non-gaming customers for more than 2 years with our authorized and trusted partner Solid Cloud Electronics. Gaming monitors for both professional and amateur gamers was launched in the region. After seeing the success of gaming monitors, a wide range of professional monitors was launched in Jordan. 

The monitors are available for purchase through multiple channels, including retail stores and online. For individual end-users, leading electronics retail stores in Amman, Zarqa, and Irbid carry the product. Zain offers online purchasing options, while Solid Cloud Electronics accepts bulk orders. 

TechX: With hybrid workspace gaining more and more traction, what kind of role is AOC playing with other vendors to make this sustainable?

AOC: AOC has introduced the V5 series, which is equipped with a Windows HelloTM Webcam and makes it simple to have a more environmentally friendly hybrid workplace. Meetings can be held at home just as easily as they were in the workplace. Some AOC monitor versions include cable management, VESA/wall mounting, type C enabled for simple connectivity, and three side frameless features that further improve the desk area and make it appear tidy and uncluttered. With a 3 year warranty included on every AOC monitor, clients can feel confident investing in the company.

TechX: What’s next for AOC this year? 

AOC: Keeping in mind the market demands, AOC intends to introduce slimmer monitors, eco-friendly packaging and monitors that consume lesser power. 

In the technology front AOC will launch monitors enabled with Mini led, OLED, with thunderbolt 4 technology and more. For professional gamers, launching monitors with lesser response time and higher refresh.
