GITEX Africa Morocco, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, has been officially announced by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform. The continent’s largest technology and startup event will take place from April 14-16, 2025, in Marrakech.
After two successful editions, GITEX Africa Morocco 2025 is set to be even bigger. The event will bring together government leaders, tech giants, investors, and entrepreneurs to shape Africa’s digital economy.
A Hub for Innovation and Investment
This year, GITEX Africa will introduce new focus areas like EdTech, AgriTech, HealthTech, and SportsTech. The event will also feature the Africa Future Connectivity Summit, exploring broadband expansion, 5G adoption, and cloud technology.
A key highlight is the Diaspora Studio, designed to connect African innovators worldwide with investors and incubators. This initiative will boost cross-border collaborations and funding opportunities.
The International Finance Corporation (IFC) joins as an economic development partner. IFC Managing Director Makhtar Diop will deliver a keynote on Africa’s digital economy and investment landscape. The SheWins Africa initiative will spotlight women-led startups, promoting inclusive growth.

GITEX Africa 2025 will cover AI, IoT, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Fintech, Smart Cities, and E-Government. The event aligns with Africa’s sustainability goals, focusing on energy transition, mobility, climate tech, and digital education.
