H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, has launched MyDubai Communities. The new digital platform connects citizens, residents, and visitors through shared interests and vibrant activities across Dubai.
The initiative is an evolution of the successful #MyDubai campaign launched in 2014. That campaign invited people to share their daily lives and experiences in the city through social media. Now, with MyDubai Communities, this vision expands into a unified platform that brings Dubai’s diverse population together.
Accessible through mydubaicommunities.com, and social media via @mydubaicommunities on Instagram and TikTok, the platform offers a central space to explore events, hobbies, and communities.
It supports Dubai’s commitment to promoting tolerance, coexistence, and inclusion. It also reflects the spirit of the UAE’s Year of Community 2025, which focuses on strengthening social bonds.
The platform connects people across age groups, backgrounds, and interests. It currently hosts around 100 interest-based communities. These range from sports and wellness to arts, reading, and networking.
Users can find groups that match their passions. They can also create new communities in under five minutes. The interface is simple, fast, and user-friendly.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan said Dubai is entering a new phase of growth and excellence. He emphasized that the real strength of a city lies not just in its buildings, but in its people and the connections they share.
This initiative supports the goals of Dubai Social Agenda 33, which aims to make Dubai one of the top three cities in the world for quality of life.
Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, said the platform reflects Dubai’s multicultural fabric. He added that it encourages belonging, engagement, and participation.
MyDubai Communities helps people find like-minded groups. From cycling and running to art workshops and women-only networks, the platform brings people together.
