Fortinet dominated in security appliances shipment for 9 consecutive years

Fortinet, a provider of comprehensive, integrated, and automated cybersecurity solutions, announced the findings of International Data Corporation’s (IDC) most recent Worldwide Quarterly Security Appliance Tracker. Fortinet’s continued global leadership is demonstrated by the 4Q21 Tracker and historical report data, which show that the company has shipped more security appliances than any other vendor for nine consecutive years while also accelerating revenue growth faster than competitors.

• Fortinet saw its appliance shipments increase by 31.4% year on year in 2021, earning a 36.8% unit market share in the combined firewall, UTM, and VPN markets.
• Fortinet is responsible for more than one-third of all firewall/UTM shipments.
• According to the 4Q21 IDC Tracker, Fortinet accelerated its revenue growth for the total security appliance market year over year in the fourth quarter to 20.9%, outpacing overall market growth of 9.7% for all vendors.
