Globetrotters can explore the world in one place with Expo 2020 Dubai passport. Both Dubai residents and international tourists can ‘travel’ around the world, commemorating their voyage with a special passport as they explore the 200+ participating pavilions.
The passport will encourage guests to visit as many pavilions as they can during the 182-day festival, while also allowing them to reflect on and relive their moments afterward.
The passport has become one of the most popular Expo souvenirs for tourists who wish to keep track of all the different international pavilions they visit and collect pavilion stamps as a keepsake since its introduction at the 1967 World Expo in Montreal.
Expo 2020 is inspired by the UAE’s history, bringing the past and present together. The 50-page booklet, which is shaped like an official passport, includes designs and photos of the three Thematic Pavilions (Mission Possible – The Opportunity Pavilion, Alif – The Mobility Pavilion, and Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion), as well as Al Wasl Plaza – the Expo site’s crown jewel – and other Dubai landmarks, such as the city’s iconic skyline, and other UAE-related elements.
Each page of the yellow, customisable passport has its own increased security elements, including a unique number, a space for a passport-sized photo, personal information, and hidden watermarked images, ensuring that no two documents are same.
With the UAE celebrating its Golden Jubilee year, the passport includes a unique page stamped in gold foil and an image of the nation’s Founding Father, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, from 1971, when the UAE celebrated the nation’s birth. Visitors to Expo will also receive a unique stamp commemorating the UAE’s 50th anniversary on December 2nd.
Expo 2020, which will take place from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, will bring together more than 200 participants from 191 nations, as well as enterprises, international organisations, and educational institutions. During a six-month celebration of human ingenuity, innovation, progress, and culture, the most diverse World Expo ever will welcome millions of people from all over the world to participate in the creation of a new world.
