Cutting-edge buses will soon be introduced in Dubai to cater to students during the upcoming academic year. The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), part of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), is unveiling an advanced fleet of buses that will serve approximately 25,000 students across the city. These buses adhere to both local and international safety standards, underscoring their commitment to ensuring secure transportation for students.
By leveraging their extensive expertise and resources, combined with investments in state-of-the-art bus technologies, the DTC aims to enhance parental and community confidence. The primary objective is to establish a safe and dependable transportation environment for students throughout the school year. This initiative not only aligns with Dubai’s rigorous safety and surveillance norms but also strengthens the partnership with Emirates Schools Establishment, fostering a sustained collaboration in delivering school transport services.
DTC’s school buses boast an array of intelligent features, including surveillance cameras, a fail-safe mechanism to confirm no students are left on board after each trip, a system to monitor student movement while in transit, and an emergency alert system that directly connects with the emergency management center. Moreover, these buses incorporate advanced electronic tracking using GPS technology, along with a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system, streamlining student boarding and disembarkation. The buses are further equipped with an automatic fire-suppression system for added safety.
Underlining their commitment to safety, DTC is dedicated to cultivating responsible driving skills among school bus drivers and attendants through specialized high-level training. Emergency drills and First Aid training are also conducted to ensure the team’s readiness to manage any unforeseen situations during the school transportation process.
