Honeywell Names Khaled Hashem MEA President

Honeywell has announced the appointment of Khaled Hashem as the President of the recently consolidated Middle East and Africa [MEA] region for the company. In this role, Hashem will lead Honeywell’s strategy for MEA, focusing on aligning the company with the global megatrends of automation, the future of aviation, and the energy transition. Simultaneously, he will shape a diverse portfolio of products and solutions tailored for the local market, drive key customer engagements, and develop the talent and leadership pipeline.

Hashem’s appointment signifies a significant milestone in Honeywell’s ongoing commitment to advancing localization, sustainability, digital transformation, and smart infrastructure objectives across the broader region.

Anant Maheshwari, President and CEO of High Growth Regions at Honeywell, expressed pride in the company’s presence and impact in the Middle East and Africa region. He anticipates further growth as the company expands its focus on the three megatrends and is confident that Khaled will capitalize on opportunities to expand and strengthen the business.

Khaled Hashem joined Honeywell in 2016 as the President of Egypt and Libya, expanding his responsibilities in 2019 to lead all of North Africa. Throughout his tenure, he played a pivotal role in driving operational and sales excellence and enhancing customer engagement. Prior to joining Honeywell, Khaled held leadership positions at General Electric and ExxonMobil.

Hashem expressed his pride in leading such a historic organization across the region, highlighting the profound impact of Honeywell’s products, tools, and technology on daily life. He emphasized the significant role the company plays in local industries and expressed excitement about continuing to make a positive impact.
