Huawei Cloud is poised to leave a significant mark at GITEX GLOBAL 2023 under the banner of ‘Everything as a Service, Reshaping AI for Industries.’ Huawei Cloud introduces the ‘Pangu Model Reshaping AI for Industries,’ emphasizing its dedication to constructing the foundational infrastructure for an intelligent world through systematic innovation.

As the adoption of AI is projected to experience substantial growth across diverse industries, this strategic move aligns with PwC’s Global Artificial Intelligence Study, which anticipates AI’s potential to contribute up to $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030.

At GITEX GLOBAL 2023, Huawei Cloud unveiled Pangu Model 3.0, which boasts a pioneering commercial Arabic model, trained with hundreds of billions of parameters. This model surpasses its peers in terms of comprehension and generative capabilities.

Frank Dai, the President of Huawei Cloud Middle East & Central Asia, remarked, “With our ‘Pangu Model Reshaping AI for Industries’ solution, Huawei Cloud is presenting our Pangu Model 3.0 and Huawei Cloud Stack 8.3.0 at GITEX GLOBAL. This event provides us a unique platform not only to showcase our cutting-edge AI solutions but also to engage with industry leaders, innovators, and partners. It’s a dynamic environment where we can share our vision, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights into the evolving needs of businesses and industries.”

Foundation models and related applications represent the most intricate facets of hardware and software systems engineering, necessitating systematic innovation. Roy Luo, Vice President of Consulting and Solution at Huawei Cloud Middle East & Central Asia, emphasized, “Huawei Cloud is committed to reshaping AI for Industries and delivering the most advanced cloud and AI technologies to the Middle East and Central Asia. Our focus on systematic innovation spans various layers, including a distributed QingTian architecture that redefines computing, storage, and networking. This transformation upgrades the traditional primary/secondary architecture to a peer-to-peer architecture, significantly enhancing AI computing power. At the data processing level, Huawei Cloud offers comprehensive technologies for the entire cloud process, encompassing data storage, analysis, sharing, and labeling, empowering enterprises to discover, store, recall, and utilize foundation model data. We are dedicated to empowering enterprises across different industries in the region to construct their own extensive models.”

As we enter the AI era, AI is reshaping the way we live, work, and interact. Dr. Zhu Shenggao, Vice President of AI Business at Huawei Cloud Middle East & Central Asia, stated, “AI has become an integral part of our society, permeating every facet of our lives. Its integration into industries is undergoing a rapid transformation. This remarkable shift is fueled by the emergence of large AI models meticulously trained on massive datasets. It’s not just a technological advancement but a fundamental transformation that will define the future of industries, and Huawei Cloud is at the forefront of enabling this transformation.

Huawei Cloud’s Pangu models are tailored to meet the practical demands of specific industry scenarios. The newly introduced Pangu Models 3.0 utilize a 5+N+X three-layer decoupled, hierarchical architecture, consisting of 5 – L0 foundation models, N – L1 industry-specific models, and X – L2 AI applications, providing a robust foundation for a wide array of models and applications. The L0 foundation models encompass NLP, CV, multimodal, prediction, and scientific computing, offering fundamental capabilities to drive a plethora of industry-specific applications.

With over 1,000 AI projects in its portfolio, Huawei Cloud has consistently adhered to the “AI for Industries” strategy. Pangu models have been pre-trained with open datasets spanning more than 10 industries, including Finance, Government, Meteorology, Healthcare, Education, Automotive, and Utilities. The data volume for each industry exceeds 50 billion tokens. On October 18, Dr. Zhu will participate in the AI Everything keynote, where he will delve into how “Pangu Large Models Accelerate AI for Industries.”

At GITEX GLOBAL, Huawei Cloud will also showcase Huawei Cloud Stack 8.3.0, a hybrid cloud platform supporting data-AI convergence and streamlining the deployment of AI cloud services in on-premises data centers. Huawei Cloud Stack 8.3.0 offers over 100 cloud services, bolstering the core capabilities of the Pangu Large Model, enabling customers to delve deep into cloud solutions. It represents the most comprehensive AI production chain in the industry, simplifying the development of large models.

Customers can deploy Pangu Model 3.0 both on the public cloud and on-premises, offering flexibility and autonomy in model creation. Huawei Cloud Stack 8.3.0 enhances these capabilities, providing a holistic AI pipeline for enterprises to efficiently build large models.

Additionally, Huawei Cloud’s GaussDB distributed database product excels in serverless, region-less, and mode-less functions, delivering unrivaled data services in terms of availability, performance, scalability, security, and intelligence.

In the realm of digital content production, Huawei Cloud MetaStudio empowers model production, asset management, content editing, physical simulation, and cloud rendering, facilitating a seamless blend of virtual and physical elements at users’ fingertips.

On October 19, the Huawei Cloud Partner Forum will facilitate knowledge sharing and industrial solutions based on Huawei Cloud and ecosystem policies.
