The much-vaunted Cloud 2 wireless headset is finally here in UAE, after first releasing in USA in early November 2020. The question on everyone’s mind how will it stack up to its wired predecessor Cloud 2 wired headset. Is it as reliable as the old guard or have they compromised on sound quality? Al Hamami Technology LLC, brings you exclusive images of the item and further details on what to expect from it.
While putting on the ear it feels surprisingly light weighing at 301 gms as compared to its contemporaries in the market. It feels plush and it’s a match made in heaven for people who are not visual aesthetics.
Cloud II has lived it up to its name, punchy with its 53 mm drivers which are bit larger than the rest of its competitors. Gamers are not tired of wearing it for the long run with 7.1 surround sound. The microphone has outclassed its earlier iterations performing amazingly in a live environment with a detachable boom mic.
Despite being fairly light on ears, it boasts a heavyweight performance with 30 hours of announced performance from the HyperX team. I was playing on my PC for close to 5 hours on the trot with too much juice left in the battery. I feel it needs to be charged once a week for a serious gamer. It will be one of the major USPs of this headset.
It comes with USB-C charging port, a plus point as opposed to the regular A-type connection offered by its rivals. The promised wireless range is up to 20 meters and I tested it up to 15 meters in my living room as the connection feels pretty solid.
After wearing it for few hours, I felt it as an extension of my body. In short, it’s lightweight and no-frills attached. This simple yet power-packed crisp headset is set to tug the heartbeat of avid gamers.
