Hytera Communications, a global professional communication technologies company, is gearing up to introduce cutting-edge intrinsically safe Push-to-Talk devices, enriched with AI capabilities, at the upcoming GITEX 2023 event. GITEX 2023 is scheduled to take place in Dubai from October 16 to 20, 2023.

The highlight of Hytera’s showcase at GITEX 2023 will be their new generation of intrinsically safe two-way radios and smartphones. This groundbreaking explosion-proof portfolio will encompass a wide array of mainstream two-way radio protocols and technologies used globally and in the region. These technologies include Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA), Digital Mobile Radio (DMR), and Push-to-talk over Cellular (PTToC or PoC). This marks Hytera as the sole provider offering such a diverse range of intrinsically safe communication devices worldwide.

Intrinsically safe devices are specially designed for use in environments where there is a risk of explosive gas and combustible dust, such as oil refineries, pipelines, chemical plants, and mining sites. These devices are engineered to tightly control electronic heat and sparking to prevent potentially catastrophic consequences. Hytera’s line-up of two-way radios and smartphones, including the PNC460U, HP79XEx, and PT89XEx, all set for launch during GITEX, have been certified for safe use in such hazardous conditions.

While all three devices feature explosion-proof characteristics, they vary in terms of protocols, features, and the specific scenarios they are best suited for. The PNC460U stands out as a ruggedized smartphone running on Android 12 with a dedicated push-to-talk (PTT) key for instant group voice calls. It effectively combines the functionality of a smartphone and a PoC radio into one device. On the other hand, the PT89XEx and HP79Xex, based on TETRA and DMR protocols respectively, excel in offering a seamless blend of professional two-way radio features with usability in hazardous environments. These devices feature AI-based noise cancellation, enabling users to make clear calls even in challenging acoustic environments.

Stanley Song, Deputy General Manager of Hytera Oversea, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “On the tenth anniversary of our MEA regional headquarters, we are thrilled to participate in GITEX 2023 and exhibit our innovative lineup of products that are set to revolutionize communications across a multitude of industries in the region. We are confident in the region’s economy and keep bringing new products, such as intrinsically safe smartphones and two-way radios. We take pride in providing solutions to enhance workplace safety and efficiency and empower the workforce to communicate and collaborate seamlessly.”

Hytera’s booth, located at H20-A20 in GITEX, will also offer a comprehensive range of communication and dispatching solutions, covering both narrowband Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) and broadband LTE. Additionally, they will showcase the latest body-worn camera and evidence management solutions.

Hytera aims to leverage the GITEX platform to engage in face-to-face interactions with end-users, listen to their feedback, and explore new avenues for business growth. Their presence at GITEX 2023 underscores their commitment to expanding their partner network across the region.
