Lenovo has announced a global everything-as-a-service strategy. The company unveiled an update in its consumption-based business model at its annual Tech World event, launching Lenovo TruScale, a new portfolio-spanning everything-as-a-service offering. This announcement is part of Lenovo’s ongoing transition for the next reality – a new age in which consumers and business leaders require new solutions and technology to deal with tremendous change in business, education, lifestyle, and other areas.

Lenovo is combining all of its as-a-Service solutions under one tent, expanding its TruScale brand beyond infrastructure services, to create a truly global solution that connects everything from the pocket to the cloud under a single contract framework. Lenovo TruScale represents the company’s vision and transformation for the future – fulfilling the growing worldwide demand for smarter technology in an era of hybrid working and learning.

“Digital transformation is accelerating faster than ever, and companies are struggling to keep pace with the speed of innovation. We hear from CIOs every day that their organization’s technology needs are evolving every 12-18 months,” said Ken Wong, president of Solutions & Services Group.

Also added, “With Lenovo TruScale, customers can expect one solution, one provider, one contract framework, and a single point of accountability for everything-as-a-service.”

With a scalable, cloud-like consumption model and predictable payment options for hardware and service inclusions, Lenovo TruScale provides businesses of all sizes with an everything-as-a-service platform that gives them the flexibility they need to stay competitive. This shift to a fully integrated as-a-service strategy brings the company’s “One Lenovo” vision to life, tackling common business concerns while giving IT leaders the performance and flexibility they need to pay-as-they-grow. IT leaders’ infrastructure solutions are completely managed with Lenovo TruScale, giving clients the benefits of an on-premise cloud environment as well as the peace of mind of data management in a hybrid environment.

According to research, the as-a-service industry is growing four times faster than the whole IT services TAM. In three years, as-a-service models will account for 12% of corporate x86 server spending and over 50% of new enterprise storage spending, up from 1% two years ago and rising at a 40% CAGR, and roughly 17% of commercial PC spending, up from 1% two years ago and expanding at a 50% CAGR.

Organizations that adopt smarter technology intended for a hybrid reality will benefit as the world moves to a flexible “work, learn, and connect-from-anywhere” model. This necessitates device and work platform flexibility, on-demand support when and where needed, and configurable solutions throughout the business, all of which Lenovo’s existing Device-as-a-Service solution provides. Lenovo DaaS will continue to assist customers in transitioning to a Modern IT environment by integrating the best end-to-end technology from across Lenovo with lifecycle services and support, as well as flexible financing, to offer lower cost of ownership.

Lenovo is pioneering a new way to deliver as-a-service to the market, giving businesses complete control over how they use their IT infrastructure, services, and applications. Customers may have the public cloud experience with the protection and control of an on-premises solution by forging strategic collaborations with other market leaders. Lenovo has partnered with leading infrastructure partners Deloitte, VMWare, and Intel, as well as DaaS security partners Absolute Software and SentinelOne, to provide organisations with a variety of dynamic offerings, including hybrid cloud solutions for Edge to Cloud environments, and DaaS security partners Absolute Software and SentinelOne, as part of this new platform, best-in-class managed security solutions and access to the most current storage infrastructure innovation, for the life of their data, with the ability to scale storage capacity on demand.

“Lenovo’s as a service approach helps meet the market’s demand for responsive, reliable hybrid cloud operations. Put simply our organizations are helping companies grow their enterprises and mitigate risks to create more value and serve society better,” said Punit Renjen, CEO of Deloitte Global.
