LG Electronics (LG) is presenting its vision for a better future and a better living at CES 2022. LG World Premiere, hosted by LG CEO William Cho, will highlight the company’s various innovations for the new year as well as its ongoing efforts to build a more inclusive user experience and a more sustainable tomorrow. The Better Living You Deserve, LG’s CES 2022 theme, stresses the company’s ultimate goal of elevating all aspects of daily life via technology and design innovation. Three short videos bring this vision to life: A Better Life for You, A Better Life for All, and Tomorrow Will Be Better.
The first short film, A Better Life for You, is about LG’s vision of an upgradeable appliance. LG’s improved ThinQ platform empowers compatible products with even more capabilities to bring greater conveniences in 2022, with enhanced capacities to learn and grow to better match the needs of customers’ particular lifestyles. A Better Life for You demonstrates how LG’s entertainment solutions are providing viewers with a more personalized, engaging experience while watching content on larger screens at home.
The LG StanbyME, a wireless private mobile wireless display that goes everywhere in the house to give the greatest watching experience of a traditional TV, will be introduced to the audience. LG PuriCare AeroTower is an all-in-one home air care solution that combines the benefits of an air purifier, fan, and heater, while the LG tiiun indoor gardening appliance provides a simple, clean, and dependable way to grow fresh greens all year.
A Better Life for All focuses on LG’s commitment to decreasing its environmental effect and making its business more sustainable. LG’s commitment to finding solutions that are better for people and the planet can be seen in the energy-saving innovations built into the InstaView® refrigerator and its transparent “knock twice to see inside” door, the increased use of recycled materials in LG Soundbar packaging materials, and the reduction of plastic components in LG OLED TVs. LG plans to use more than 600,000 tonnes of recovered plastic in its manufacturing processes after 2022, and to recover eight million tonnes of electronic waste by 2030.
LG’s growth as a brand is also dependent on inclusivity, and to that end, the company has committed to investing in Accessibility Advisory Councils in several areas. Accessibility experts and people with disabilities serve on LG’s advisory councils, which help the company develop products with a more inclusive user experience in mind, such as voice commands and Braille labelling.
LG is launching the LIFE’S GOOD AWARD in 2022 to encourage innovation in the areas of sustainability and inclusivity. The award will focus on Innovation for Earth and Innovation for All, and will seek ideas to reduce the impact of human activities on the environment and make LG products more accessible and user-friendly. Winning players will receive up to USD 1 million in prize money, with more specifics to be released later this year.
The third and final short film looks ahead to the future and LG’s role in making science fiction a reality, with the company’s AI-powered CLOi door-to-door delivery robot about to launch. Audiences are also given a behind-the-scenes glimpse at LG’s virtual artistReahrehearsing for a forthcoming music video.
LG OMNIPOD, a mobility concept solution that blurs the lines between home and car, is also featured. LG OMNIPOD is an on-the-roadextension of one’s personal living area, building on the automotive solutions demonstrated in LG’s previousConnected Car at CES 2020. LG OMNIPOD is a multi-purpose device that can be used as a home office, entertainment centre, or even a lounge. It shows how a busy person may get more done in a future where working remotely doesn’t mean working from home.
LG’s on-site installation, which is located inside the main entrance of Central Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center, promises to provide both physical and virtual visitors with an immersive and interactive experience using AR and VR technology.
LG’s Home Entertainment presentation will be divided into three zones: LG OLED on Metaverse, VirtualShowroom, and LG OLED Art in LG Virtual Studio. Visitors may learn about and try out the company’s latest goods in all three zones in a fun, interactive way.
LG’s new home appliances will be showcased in the LG Home, LG Home by Objet Collection, and LG ThinQ virtual display halls. LG Home is a virtual living room where visitors may check out the company’s newest products, such as a new washer-dryer set, PuriCareAeroTower, and LG tiiun. Visitors to LG Home by Objet Collection can customise their own environment by selecting wallpaper, flooring, and other interior design components to complement LG’s premium lifestyle collection’s customisable appliances. LG ThinQ takes visitors on a “tour” of all of LG’s smart ecosystem’s features and functionalities, which are all accessible through the improved LG ThinQ app.
