Exclusive interview with Bob Aoun, Regional Sales Director at Poly

Which products and solutions will you be exhibiting this year at GITEX?

We are excited to be part of GITEX Technology Week again this year, it is such a monumental and disruptive tech event that brings together international and local tech enthusiasts and change-makers.

Through our latest reports, we are highlighting Poly’s recent findings about employee desires and business best practices this year.

Our Recruit, Retain, and Grow report investigates how businesses respond to employees’ demands for ideal work environments. Our latest paper, The Journey to Hybrid Working: Twelve Considerations, lists twelve factors that businesses should consider as they transition to hybrid working.

We are here to solve the meeting inequity between office and hybrid workers who should have the opportunity to have an equal experience no matter where they join the conversation from – and this is what our technology achieves. All three of our reports are completely consistent with the GITEX theme of “entering the next digital universe.”

In terms of our product portfolio, we are excited to show off our newest solutions, such as the Poly Edge E Series, our latest hybrid working IP desk phones. These products are intended to meet the challenges of the hybrid workforce, particularly for those looking to better equip their offices, in the corporate building or at home.

What will be your key takeaways from the event?

When a trend is being addressed, a new one has already started to take hold since trends shift so swiftly. However, several trends will continue to emerge and spread over the next several years, including the rollout of 5G, the switch to cloud computing, the growth of IoT, and the application of AI in routine tasks.

Present-day businesses place a strong emphasis on transformational technologies, such as big data, cloud computing, AI, AR, VR, and IoT. But what will ultimately lead to success is an integrated approach and strategies that keep hybrid work at the forefront.

This year at GITEX, we are excited to meet business leaders and organizations from all over the world and help them guide their business to success with the help of hybrid world strategies and tools that they need to focus on.

What is the significance of GITEX for your Middle East presence?

According to a recent Poly report, 69% of UAE-based firms and 56% of organizations in general believe that failing to address their hybrid work procedures and strategies will result in employee turnover and an inability to recruit new talent.

GITEX provides us the perfect platform to reconnect in person with all of our long-term partners and customers who are now looking at hybrid work solutions. And, given that UAE has been the region’s tech hub, we are looking forward to providing organizations of all sizes with the tools they need to thrive in this new hybrid working world at this year’s GITEX.

Poly enables businesses to empower their employees to do their jobs flawlessly, regardless of where they work. We provide professional-grade tools for working from home, the office, or anywhere, ensuring that organizations’ talent is retained in our hybrid working environment. Flexible working arrangements, combined with Dubai’s new tech hub status, make the region ideal for emerging talent and multi-million dollar businesses, all of which emerge from GITEX.

Where can attendees find you at the event?

All those interested to learn and experience hybrid work and meeting equality in action can find us in Hall 7, booth E20.
