HID, a trusted identity solutions provider, has collaborated with Smart Spaces and Cohesion to introduce mobile credentials in Google Wallet, empowering employees, tenants, and guests with seamless access to buildings, spaces, and systems using their Android devices.

This collaboration brings convenience and security to everyday interactions, as users can now utilize their Android phones as secure, mobile credentials for tasks like opening doors, accessing elevators, or releasing print jobs with a simple tap near a reader.

The integration of mobile credentials in Google Wallet leverages the robust privacy and security features inherent in Android devices, further enhancing the already secure Seos® platform. Moreover, these credentials are compatible with Wallet-ready Signo® and iCLASS® SE™ readers.

Sanjit Bardhan, HID’s VP of Mobile, expresses excitement about the partnership, highlighting how users can now seamlessly navigate various spaces and systems using their Android phones, from turnstiles and elevators to computer networks and printers.

Dan Drogman, CEO of Smart Spaces, emphasizes the importance of delivering a seamless user experience and expresses enthusiasm for being among the first to offer mobile credentials in Google Wallet to their customers.

The introduction of mobile credentials in Google Wallet also offers a cost-effective solution for distributing company badges. This remote distribution process eliminates the need for physical cards, printers, and administrative overhead, with features like remote enrollment, direct delivery and storage in Google Wallet, and the ability to remotely revoke credentials if needed.

Thru Shivakumar, CEO of Cohesion, heralds the partnership as a milestone in providing seamless and secure access solutions, setting a new benchmark for smart environments. The launch of this innovation will debut at Ion, Houston’s largest innovation hub, shaping the future of how we interact with our spaces.
