Search engine giant Google has recently announced the expansion of the workspace storage from a mere 15GB to 1 TB for users.
Workspace Individual accounts typically have a 15GB cloud storage cap and are intended for small firms or solitary entrepreneurs. In a blog post, Google stated that all Individual accounts would be upgraded immediately to 1TB of “safe, cloud storage.”
The blog post by Google also mentions that users can now add up to 100 file types like PDFs, CAD files and images and will allow them to collaborate and edit Microsoft Office files without converting them.
Additionally, Google revealed a Gmail update for these accounts that makes it simpler to email numerous recipients without sacrificing privacy. Mail merge tags have been included as a new feature of the mail service’s multi-send mode.
Google is expanding its services of Workspace individual as it will be launching it in the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, the Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, Finland, Greece and Argentina. Business owners from these regions will be able to use Workspace individual. Google is also expanding the capability of Workspace Individual as it increases its footprint and builds on Premium Meet, eSignature in Google Docs, appointment scheduling, and customizable layouts in Gmail.
Google has revealed that Meet will soon be available on other platforms, including Zoom, later in 2022. According to a blog post by the tech giant, Zoom Rooms and Google Meet devices will both be able to join Google Meet meetings, either straight from the calendar of a Zoom Room or Google Meet device or by inputting a meeting code.
