This week, during CES 2024, NVIDIA unveiled the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series lineup of GPUs, featuring the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER. These GPUs aim to elevate gaming experiences and serve as the foundation for AI-driven PCs.

Built on the latest NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture, this iteration of GPUs boasts impressive performance metrics, offering up to 52 shader TFLOPS, 121 RT TFLOPS, and 836 AI TOPS. The GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, starting at $599, leads the charge in affordability.

PC gamers seeking top-tier visual quality will appreciate the integration of AI-powered NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) Super Resolution, Frame Generation, and Ray Reconstruction, combined with ray tracing. This combination enhances gaming experiences in titles like Diablo IV, Pax Dei, and Horizon Forbidden West. DLSS enables the generation of seven out of eight pixels through AI, resulting in a 4x acceleration of full ray tracing with superior image quality.

Matt Wuebbling, Vice President of Global GeForce Marketing at NVIDIA, expressed excitement about these upgrades, stating, “For everyone from gaming enthusiasts to creative professionals, GeForce RTX SUPER GPUs are simply awesome upgrades.”

An AI-Powered Leap in PC Computing

The new GeForce RTX SUPER GPUs mark a significant leap in AI capabilities for PC computing. Specialized AI Tensor Cores deliver up to 836 AI TOPS, transforming gaming, creative processes, and everyday productivity. The software stack, including NVIDIA TensorRT and TensorRT-LLM for Windows, accelerates AI applications. The GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER outperforms the RTX 3080 Ti in video and image generation for AI workloads.

In the gaming realm, AI-powered DLSS enhances immersion, while applications like Adobe Photoshop benefit from Tensor Cores, expediting creative workflows. NVIDIA Broadcast contributes to productivity by eliminating background noise and offering seamless virtual backgrounds.

The flagship GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER stands out as a 4K gaming powerhouse, delivering superior performance in fully ray-traced games. With DLSS Frame Generation, it achieves double the speed of the RTX 3080 Ti, thanks to its 836 AI TOPS. Priced at $999, it becomes available on January 31.

For precision gaming at high frame rates, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is designed for resolutions up to 4K. With increased cores, a larger frame buffer of 16GB, and a 256-bit memory bus, it surpasses the RTX 3070 Ti by 1.6x and achieves 2.5x with DLSS 3. Priced at $799, it releases on January 24.

The GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, available from January 17 at $599, strikes a balance with 20% more cores than the RTX 4070, surpassing the RTX 3090 in speed while consuming less power. With DLSS 3, it extends its lead to 1.5x faster.

For those interested in purchasing, the NVIDIA Founders Edition Design for the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER and 4070 SUPER will be accessible directly from NVIDIA.com and select retailers. Additionally, custom boards from leading providers such as ASUS, Colorful, Gainward, GALAX, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, KFA2, MSI, Palit, PNY, and ZOTAC will be available, offering a range of stock-clocked and factory-overclocked models for the entire GeForce RTX 40 SUPER Series.
