Acronis announces that Pablo Zabaleta, former Manchester City and Argentina international footballer, will attend GITEX 2022 on Tuesday, October 11th from 1-2 pm GST at the Acronis booth H1 – C58. Acronis, the world leader in cyber security, is also expected to make additional announcements during GITEX Global Week, adding to the event’s uniqueness. The presence of Zabaleta follows Acronis’ previous presentation of the world’s first flying electric racing car at the previous GITEX in 2021, in collaboration with its business and sports partners.

Through service provider and IT professional deployment models, Acronis provides antivirus, backup, disaster recovery, endpoint protection management, and award-winning artificial intelligence-based anti-malware and blockchain-based data authentication technologies. Its solutions safeguard data, applications, and systems in any setting.

The company’s flagship product (also available in cloud version), Acronis Cyber Protect, is the first cyber protection solution to combine backup, disaster recovery, next-generation anti-malware, antivirus, vulnerability assessment, patch management, and remote management tools into a single console. It addresses all Five Vectors of Cyber Security, ensuring data Safety, Accessibility, Privacy, Authenticity, and Security (SAPAS) in data centers, clouds, and edge devices. The solutions include open APIs that allow developers to fully integrate the platform with any other tools they may be using.

According to Acronis’ latest Cyber Threats Report, ransomware is the number one threat to organizations, with damages expected to exceed $30 billion by 2023. According to this report, the United Arab Emirates was among the top ten countries with the highest malware detection rate in June of this year.

Cyber security is critical for all organizations, regardless of industry or size. Most leading sports teams around the world are beginning to recognize the importance of cyber security to their team’s results and the continuity of their business. Sports teams no longer have the option of protecting their IT environment, devices, and data before, during, and after a race or game. Knowing about cyber risks and developing a strategy is something that every organization and individual should consider.

“Acronis is the only vendor with a one-stop solution that helps all audiences, from the SME to the enterprise and also the individual, when it comes to full cyber protection. By being present massively at GITEX this year once again, we want to take this opportunity to meet in person with our partners and customers, and also anyone who might have questions about how we can help them with our innovative technology. We have tripled our investment into this event because the Middle East region is at the core of our priorities, and we feel that there is still a lot that can be done around educating on cyber risks,” said Pasha Ershow, Senior Vice President APJ & MEA Sales and Global Channel.
