UN Ambassador Praises UAE’s Climate Innovation at ADIPEC 2023

“The UAE possesses the innovation and advanced technology required to combat climate change and reduce carbon emissions. This aligns with the UAE’s hosting of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) later this year,” stated Princess Moradeun. She is also the Founder and CEO of the African Women’s Health Project International AWHPI GLOBAL FOUNDATION, a non-profit organization based in the USA, with Special Consultative ECOSOC Status from the United Nations. She made these remarks to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during the ADIPEC 2023 event.

Ogunlana emphasized that the UAE consistently leads in significant achievements and successes, which is why they have confidence in the country’s efforts across all areas, especially in addressing climate change.

Furthermore, Ogunlana highlighted that ADIPEC serves as the world’s largest energy conference, uniting industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators from around the globe. The conference is dedicated to exploring the latest technological advancements, partnerships, and initiatives aimed at transforming the energy sector.

Ogunlana also mentioned her participation in ADIPEC’s main session, where she joined energy leaders and industry advocates in discussing diversity, equity, and inclusion and their vital role in shaping a more equitable and inclusive future.

In conclusion, Ogunlana reaffirmed the deep-rooted connections between the UAE and African nations across various fields and sectors.
