Ring, a company dedicated to enhancing neighborhood safety, has introduced the second generation of its Indoor Cam in the UAE. This upgraded version offers homeowners an added level of privacy and security. The Indoor Camera (2nd Gen) is the company’s first security camera to feature a new, manual, removable privacy cover. When the cover is placed over the camera lens, it disables both audio and video recording, empowering customers to have more control over their privacy and security preferences at home.
The Indoor Camera (2nd Gen) is a compact, indoor-only camera that retains all the useful features of its predecessor, including Two-Way Talk, 1080p HD video, Live View, Customizable Motion, and Privacy Zones. This new version also boasts enhancements like Color Night Vision and an improved design. With the privacy cover in place, customers can determine what the camera captures, as the microphone and camera will be deactivated. To resume video and audio capture, users simply move the Privacy Cover aside. To confirm the camera’s status, a blue LED indicator light illuminates when video is being recorded or when night vision is activated. The camera is also equipped with Automatic Light Sensing, allowing it to automatically switch to night vision when the lighting conditions dim.
For flexibility in placement, the Indoor Camera (2nd Gen) comes with an adjustable mount design and plug-in AC power. Homeowners can position the camera virtually anywhere in their home by plugging it into an available power outlet.

Moreover, Indoor Camera (2nd Gen) supports video End-to-End Encryption, providing an extra layer of data security. It is also compatible with Alexa and seamlessly integrates with other Ring devices through Linked Devices on the Ring app. This integration enables triggered video recording when motion is detected by connected Ring devices at home.
