Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced the global launch of the highly anticipated Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor (G95SC model), featuring groundbreaking AI upscaling technology. This new addition to the lineup builds upon the success of last year’s Odyssey OLED G8 (G85SB), marking the beginning of a new era in OLED gaming.

Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, expressed excitement about the release, stating, “With the introduction of the Odyssey OLED G9, equipped with unparalleled picture quality, we are thrilled to provide our customers with these powerful gaming monitors and set a new standard for OLED gaming.”

The Odyssey OLED G9 boasts a massive 49-inch size and a 1800R curvature, making it the first OLED monitor to offer Dual Quad High Definition (DQHD; 5,120 x 1,440) resolution with a 32:9 ratio. This large and wide screen allows users to immerse themselves in super-ultrawide vistas, equivalent to two QHD screens placed side by side. Its remarkable 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GtG) response time and 240Hz refresh rate provide gamers with a competitive edge.

What sets the Odyssey OLED G9 apart is the inclusion of the Neo Quantum Processor Pro, which employs deep learning algorithms to intelligently analyze images and enhance brightness while intensifying contrast. This innovative technology ensures that each detail is faithfully restored, delivering the most vivid images, pixel by pixel.

Additionally, the monitor is equipped with AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro, enhancing the gaming experience with super-smooth gameplay. With DisplayHDR™ True Black 400, the Odyssey OLED G9 provides incredible detail and vibrant colors, regardless of the game or content being viewed.

The sleek metal frame design of the Odyssey OLED G9 adds elegance to its slim profile. On the back of the monitor, CoreSync and Core Lighting+ utilize advanced lighting technology to synchronize colors with the on-screen content, creating a more immersive experience that brings games to life. The built-in stereo speakers complement the visuals with crisp, high-quality sound.

Unleashing the Potential of a Detailed, Vibrant Display

Featuring Samsung Gaming Hub and smart TV apps, the Odyssey OLED G9 offers convenient access to streaming, gaming services, and entertainment, all in one place. Users can enjoy their favorite shows from leading OTT service providers without the need for a PC or mobile device. The Samsung Gaming Hub also allows users to discover and play games from partners like Xbox Game Pass and NVIDIA GeForce Now, eliminating the need for downloads or storage space.

With the Multi View feature, gamers can take full advantage of the expansive display by simultaneously playing games on two screens. This enables multitasking without the hassle of a multiple-monitor setup.

The Odyssey OLED G9 provides a range of convenient functions and features to optimize the gaming and viewing experience. Versatile connectivity options, including HDMI 2.1, Micro HDMI 2.1, Display Port 1.4, and Auto Source Switch+, ensure seamless connections from a central USB hub, regardless of the content source. The Height Adjustable Stand (HAS) allows users to find the perfect position for gaming or viewing, regardless of the activity.

To cater to different user preferences, the Odyssey OLED G9 series also includes the G93SC model, which delivers the same powerful OLED performance but without the Gaming Hub or smart TV features.

The Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SC) will be available for purchase worldwide starting from June 12, 2023, with regional launch schedules varying. The G93SC model will be available globally from the third quarter of 2023. For more information on Samsung’s Odyssey
