SANS Institute has announced the SANS Secure Middle East 2022 training programme, which will be hosted in-person at the Crowne Plaza Riyadh RDC Hotel & Convention Centre from March 19 to March 31, 2022.
At SANS Secure Middle East 2022, participants will master the essential skills and techniques of information security needed to secure critical data and technology assets, both on-premises and in the cloud.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) ranks second to the US as a global leader in cybersecurity, yet due to the increase in digitalization and an accelerated digital transformation spurred by the pandemic, we can see that the cyberattack landscape in Saudi continues to grow,” observes Ned Baltagi, Managing Director, Middle East and Africa at SANS Institute.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, the GCC area has been a hotbed for cyberattacks, with the Middle East suffering an unprecedented onslaught of cybersecurity threats.
According to a recent VMWare analysis, 84 percent of Saudis said cyberattacks had grown owing to remote working situations, underscoring the need for more accessible security knowledge and upskilling methods.
“Events such as SANS Secure Middle East 2022 is an opportunity for professionals toenhance their approaches and revitalizetheir confidence in managing and leading security teams, ultimately becoming all-rounder experts in cybersecurity,” added Baltagi.
This interactive event will be led by industry experts and will include both in-person training and live internet broadcasts for the courses provided. Participants will receive a thorough experience accompanied by content linked with GIAC certifications, which will provide them with the knowledge and practical skills necessary for securing organisations, identifying abnormalities, and preventing intrusions before they occur.
The in-person modules are taught by renowned cybersecurity experts, including Ian Reynolds for SEC401: Security Essentials: Network, Endpoint, and Cloud, Jason Jordaan for FOR508: Advanced Incident Response, Threat Hunting, and Digital Forensics, Brian Ventura for MGT512: Security Leadership Essentials For Managers, and Mark Williams for MGT514: Security Strategic Planning, Policy, and Leadership.
Bryce Galbraith will lead SEC504: Hacker Tools, Techniques, and Incident Handling for In-Person Live Stream training and Live Online classes; Jason Jordaan will lead FOR500: Windows Forensic Analysis; Justin Searle will lead ICS410: ICS/SCADA Security Essentials; and David Szili will lead FOR572: Advanced Network Forensics: Threat Hunting, Analysis, and Incident Response.
The timings for the courses are between 8:30AM and 5:00PM AST, including breaks.
