Sony Middle East and Africa has announced a software update for the premium HT-A7000 and HT-A5000 soundbars, which will include the customer-favorite 360 Spatial Sound Mapping capabilities, which were initially introduced in the HT-A9 home theatre system in 2021. Customers can use this revolutionary function by connecting their soundbar to Sony’s new SA-RS5 wireless rear speakers, which will be available in April 2022, or the SA-RS3S wireless rear speakers, which are presently available.
Customers can hear sound from all directions and distances with Sony’s groundbreaking 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology. Sound Field Optimisation allows the soundbar to measure the relative height and position of the soundbar and rear speakers using built-in microphones. The 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology then synthesizes sound waves based on location data to generate several phantom speakers. Sony’s wide spatial sound field reaches every area of the living space thanks to this technology, ensuring that everyone in the room has the same sound experience.
Customers who have a suitable BRAVIATM XR television can enhance their experience even more. As part of the 360 Spatial Sound Mapping setup both a soundbar and a BRAVIA XR TV become the centre speaker in the home theatre system, enabling sound to closely match what’s on the screen for clearer conversation and a more immersive experience.
Add SA-RS5 optional wireless rear speakers for a richer and more immersive 360 Spatial Sound experience
In conjunction with a compatible soundbar, Sony’s new SA-RS5 wireless rear speakers deliver optimal sound quality and wide directivity for 360 Spatial Sound. They include built-in battery capacity for up to 10 hours of gameplay and up-firing speakers for richer and more immersive 360 Spatial Sound.
