Sophos has confirmed its attendance to spearhead the latest cybersecurity innovations at GITEX Technology Week 2021, the region’s largest information and communications technology (ICT) event, which will be held from October 17 to October 21. Sophos XDR, the industry’s extended detection and response (XDR) solution that synchronizes native endpoint, server, firewall, and email protection, as well as Sophos Firewall and the Sophos Adaptive Cybersecurity Ecosystem, are among the company’s latest cybersecurity advancements (ACE).

“We are happy to be back at GITEX Technology Week 2021. Our team is looking forward to meeting customers and partners from around the region in person at the event. GITEX is always a huge platform to showcase our latest cybersecurity innovations, increase our brand visibility and strengthen our Middle East channel and business opportunities,” said  Harish Chib, vice president, Middle East, and Africa .

“Sophos’ Active Adversary Playbook 2021 details attacker behaviors and their tools, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) that lead to attacks such as ransomware. More than 80% of the attacks Sophos investigated in 2020 and early 2021 involved ransomware. At GITEX, we plan to educate regional organizations that the only way to combat sophisticated cyberattacks is to invest in a proactive and layered cybersecurity approach. We plan to advise, guide, and support our customers and partners to build three pillars of protection: prevention, detection and response, through our latest innovations in advanced cybersecurity solutions, as well as services from Sophos’ Managed Threat and Response (MTR) and Rapid Response (RR) teams.”

Sophos’ XDR gives a holistic view of an organization’s environment with a large data collection and deep analysis for threat detection, investigation, and response. The new Sophos Firewall has industry-leading Transport Layer Security (TLS) inspection, including native support for TLS 1.3, and is up to five times faster than competing models. Sophos’ Adaptive Cybersecurity Ecosystem combines the capabilities of Sophos’ threat intelligence, data lake, APIs, and Sophos Central management platform to create a continuous learning and improving adaptive security environment.

Sophos will be on stand A20 in Hall 1 with its distributor Naizak. Customers and partners can stop by the booth to meet with Naizak and Sophos senior officials and cybersecurity specialists to learn more about how Sophos’ innovative solutions solve and defend against today’s continuously evolving security issues.
