NEOM’s tech and digital subsidiary, known for its cognitive capabilities, has announced a groundbreaking multi-year agreement with stc Group, a key player in regional digital transformation. The deal involves the acquisition of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite connectivity capacity in Saudi Arabia from TONOMUS.
Unveiled at the Future Investment Initiative (FII) in Riyadh, this agreement marks a significant development, granting stc Group unparalleled access to LEO satellite capacity. This access will enable STC Group to provide high-speed broadband internet, data services, and business continuity solutions to government institutions, large corporations, and SMEs across Saudi Arabia. This is a substantial step in enhancing connectivity services, particularly in vital sectors such as oil and gas, mining, agritech, healthcare, education, and finance.
The collaboration between TONOMUS and stc Group reflects the growing demand for cost-effective, high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity throughout the region. It will bring fiber-like internet access to residents in rural and remote areas, significantly improving their online experience.
