Microsoft released its annual sustainability report ahead of Earth Day, providing partners and customers with an in-depth look at the company’s 2021 progress toward becoming a carbon-negative, water-positive, zero-waste organization by 2030.
The Microsoft Azure cloud implementation was also able to achieve the zero-downtime criteria for noon payments by employing Traffic Manager to redirect transactions to other regions during maintenance periods. Azure also allows noon payments to expand its performance bandwidth during peak moments, such as November’s Yellow Friday Sale, when the business predicted demand surges of up to ten times the regular load.
The Veritas-Microsoft partnership intends to solve some of the most pressing issues confronting businesses today, including as the growing threat of ransomware while working in complicated hybrid cloud setups with unprecedented data growth.
The students visited with space scientists from the UAE Space Agency and learned about Azure Space, a Microsoft platform that extends intelligent cloud from its earthly home to stars. Students also had opportunity to meet with Microsoft career advisors and IT professionals, who helped them develop softer skills such as teamwork and other interpersonal skills in addition to technical abilities.
By expanding the relationship, Microsoft will help its customers quickly and easily deliver innovative digital experiences across the Microsoft Cloud. With combined leadership in commerce and content, Microsoft is reshaping the future of digital engagement.
