Microsoft has announced that noon payments, a Dubai-based e-commerce company, has successfully transitioned its key operations to Azure in order to improve performance and availability, accelerate DevOps, and save costs.
“As a payment service provider, we needed to respond in real time to any kind of demand spike and to give our merchants the instant response times they expect,” said Marco Incalcaterra, Head of Technology at noon payments.

The Microsoft Azure cloud implementation was also able to achieve the zero-downtime criteria for noon payments by employing Traffic Manager to redirect transactions to other regions during maintenance periods. Azure also allows noon payments to expand its performance bandwidth during peak moments, such as November’s Yellow Friday Sale, when the business predicted demand surges of up to ten times the regular load.
Noon Payments is in its seventh year of business, offering a comprehensive solution that allows for rapid onboarding, a richly featured checkout, and easy integrations with major e-commerce platforms and shopping carts.
