Microsoft brought a taste of what the future of mixed reality will look like to GITEX Global 2022, as the region’s premier technology exhibition got underway at Dubai World Trade Centre. The company will be present at GITEX 2022 in the third year of the establishment of its cloud data centres in the UAE, which continue to support businesses as they embark on digitization journeys.
The company also began construction on its second data center in Masdar, Abu Dhabi – a new 31.8 megawatts (MW) IT power capacity facility that will contribute to the company’s continued expansion in the UAE.
Following a binding agreement late last year between e& (formerly known as Etisalat Group) and G42 to merge their data center offering, Khazna Data Centers is now operating the twelve new joint data center network.
Huawei’s data centre business in the UAE is in excellent shape, and is mutually benefitting, said a top official of the company.
In an exclusive group interview with journalists from across the region, Steven Yi, President of Huawei Middle East, stressed 5G as an enabler for enterprises of various industries in the region and health and security as a priority.
