Huawei, a global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, held the second annual Huawei Innovation Day with customers, partners and technology experts from the Middle East and Africa. 

Gitex 2022, one of the largest technology summits in the MEA region, continued for the second day on October 11, 2022. The event continues to showcase new innovations and services for a more sustainable ICT ecosystem.

The Striding Towards an Intelligent World Summit at HUAWEI CONNECT 2022 was a success. At this summit, David Wang, Huawei’s Executive Director of the Board and Chairman of the ICT Infrastructure Managing Board, gave a keynote speech titled “Embracing the 5.5G Era: Striding Towards the Intelligent World.”

Huawei will demonstrate its cybersecurity capabilities and thought leadership role at the third Cybersecurity Innovation Series (CSIS) UAE Chapter, which will take place on September 6-7, in Dubai. The UAE Cyber Security Council has endorsed CSIS, which brings together ICT industry leaders and cybersecurity professionals to discuss how organizations can remain resilient

With educated and highly connected populations, the Middle East region is perfectly poised to create a strong competitive advantage in terms of the global rush to technological supremacy. Many countries in the Middle East region have adapted special programs and initiatives at a national level to motivate innovation, nurture talent, and drive socio-economic growth through ICT.
