Qualys, Inc., a provider of disruptive cloud-based IT, security, and compliance solutions, has announced the addition of External Attack Surface Management (EASM) capabilities to the Qualys Cloud Platform. The new component, which is integrated into CyberSecurity Asset Management 2.0, adds the external attacker view to identify previously unknown internet-facing assets for a complete and accurate picture of the enterprise attack surface.

Protecting environments against an overwhelming and constantly evolving threat landscape is frustrating when detecting and responding to cybersecurity threats using siloed products that provide a narrow view of the attack.

“Fully remediating vulnerabilities goes beyond applying patches and can often require multiple tools and approaches based on the type of vulnerability,” said Richard Hallade, IT Security Officer of Red Cross Luxembourg.

After the acquisition is completed, Qualys’ Cloud Security solution will be strengthened even more, allowing clients to create user-defined workflows for custom rules and execute them on-demand for easier security and compliance.
