Microsoft released its annual sustainability report ahead of Earth Day, providing partners and customers with an in-depth look at the company’s 2021 progress toward becoming a carbon-negative, water-positive, zero-waste organization by 2030.
The company opened its doors in JAFZA, UAE, in 1992, as part of its first major transformation under the slogan “global brand, local touch,” with only 7 employees.
The in-house developed app communicates with a hotel’s property management system (PMS), providing guests with a wide range of services such as uploading travel documents such as vaccination certificates, ordering a car on arrival, room service, and laundry. The hotel app can also send the guest automated electronic updates and alerts, as well as e-registration documents, e-invoices, and e-receipts, all in one convenient location.
With sustainability becoming increasingly essential in defining a company’s brand values, many are facing challenges in designing an effective plan to implement their sustainability strategy. There are of course several factors that may weigh in the final planning, but innovative technologies are deemed as an increasingly important tool in ensuring the success of companies’ sustainability strategies.
