The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has launched a WhatsApp business account through which customers can contact the ministry and submit inquiries. Customers can reach the ministry at 600590000, and services will be available in English and Arabic. The new channel, verified by Meta, the owner of WhatsApp, allows employers, employees, domestic helpers, and other categories to contact MoHRE in real-time. With the launch of the new service, MoHRE has become the UAE’s first federal entity to have a verified WhatsApp business account.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will stop support for some old android and iOS versions to inculcate new features in the messaging platform.

The feature will send a in-app alert to the user if someone tries to log into their account. The alert will contain the time and the mobile model info from where the log in is happening.

The feature that everyone is talking about is the admin’s ability to remove/delete messages from a WhatsApp group. The feature will be rolled out to some beta testers with the idea the this will help admins moderate the groups better.
