talabat has been named as the official food delivery provider for Expo 2020 Dubai, which will include more than 30 brands and 15 cuisines from around the world during the world’s largest cultural gathering.

talabat Kitchen, a two-story cloud kitchen that will exhibit the future of food delivery experiences, featuring ten autonomous delivery trucks, a robotic ice-cream confectioner, and a barista, will wow visitors to Expo 2020.

Talabat will cater to both dine-in and delivery clients under the terms of the partnership, with talabat riders delivering to set points across Expo’s site on safe, environmentally friendly e-scooters.

A delegation from Expo 2020, as well as Onur Elgun, Vice President – Strategy MENA, talabat; Khaled Al Faqsh, Chief Financial Officer, talabat; Yi-Wei Ang, Chief Product Officer, talabat; and Hanna Nordell, Chief People Officer, talabat, signed the agreement during a ceremony.

With its integrated dine-in experience to cater to Expo’s millions of guests, the talabat Kitchen varies from a typical cloud kitchen, focusing on and optimising for an exceptional customer experience.

Visitors at Expo 2020 may place orders via the talabat app, which can be downloaded through Google Play, Huawei AppGallery, or the Apple App Store.

Expo 2020, one of the first global mega-events since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, runs from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, and invites visitors from all over the world to participate in the creation of a new world through a six-month celebration of human creativity, innovation, progress, and culture.
