Soham: If I could chat with an AI buddy, I’d discuss the evolving role of AI in logistics and ask it to show me, using augmented reality, how supply chains would look like a decade from now.
TECHx: Do you remember the moment you realized you wanted a career in tech?
Soham: Technology has inspired me since my school days. While preparing for IIT, I was very confident of the immense potential disruptive technologies have for solving real-world problems.
TECHx: Do you have any hilarious work stories involving tech blunders?
Soham: Not a blunder; it actually made a client laugh. Our AI logistics co-pilot accidentally sent humorous automated messages during a demo session.
TECHx: Which emerging technology trend are you most excited about right now?
Soham: I’m most excited about how conversational AI or Large Language Modules (LLMs), predictive intelligence, address intelligence, real-time data processing, and optical character recognition (OCR) are transforming everyday logistics operations.
TECHx: Are you on Team iOS or Team Android?
Soham: Both introduce ample possibilities to customize and optimize our solutions to address our customer’s unique challenges. So, I’m on both sides.
TECHx: How do you keep up with the latest news from the tech industry?
Soham: I stay updated with tech news through curated newsletters, industry blogs, frequent interactions with industry analysts and attending relevant conferences.
TECHx: Care to take a wild guess: What’s the next big thing in AI?
Soham: Well, AI will make supply chains autonomous. It is already helping businesses select the best logistics partners, create the most efficient routes, procure the best freight rates, balance workforce utilization, predict failures before they occur, analyze real-time and historical data to recommend solutions, and so much more.
TECHx: Will self-driving cars be a reality in a decade – yes or no?
Soham: The technology will get more mature, but adoption will be subject to security, governance, cost and geography.
TECHx: What was your first-ever cell phone like?
Soham: It was a basic Nokia model that could only make calls and send text messages. I still have it.
