Acronis, a global provider of cyber protection, will be the Official Cyber Protection Partner of The Ocean Race, the renowned round-the-world sailing race, announced a company press release.
According to the announcement, the relationship will be backed by Ingram Micro, a global distributor of innovative technology products and services, as the Official #CyberFit Partner, in line with the Acronis #TeamUp Program.
Acronis expressed pride in supporting The Ocean Race, which is committed to sustainable operations in all aspects of the Race. The use of Acronis Cyber Protect will allow the organisation to optimise its cybersecurity operations, which is another step towards reducing its carbon footprint.
The Ocean Race, a fully-crewed, around-the-world yacht race, is often considered as the most difficult test of a team in the sport, sending participants to some of the world’s most isolated sections of the ocean on a race itinerary that includes seven stages and visits nine prominent international cities.
