Trend Micro Incorporated, a global provider of cybersecurity solutions, announced that it has been named a Leader in The Forrester Wave: Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Q2 2022. The report recognizes Trend Micro’s focus on innovation, customer-centricity, and endpoint security.

Trend Micro received 5 out of 5 scores in nine of the criteria, including investigation capabilities, ATT&CK alignment, extended capabilities, and innovation roadmap, as one of only three security vendors named a Leader in EDR by Forrester. The report’s strengths align with Forrester’s stance on the value of high-quality analysis, building on the company’s ongoing efforts to meet customers’ current and evolving detection and response needs.

“In the modern threat landscape, it is vital that organizations have in-depth insights, acute foresight and are equipped with future proof solutions protecting every digital journey they embark on,” said Dr. Moataz Bin Ali, Area Vice President and Managing Director, MEA, Trend Micro. “Trend Micro continues to secure enterprise operations through its XDR solutions that offer comprehensive threat detection and response across digital environments from a single platform. The recognition by Forrester Wave is truly an honor and a testament to the efforts and the perseverance of our teams. It motivates us to continue to work harder as we strengthen enterprises’ security posture and encourages us to set new benchmarks in the region.”

The report follows Trend Micro’s recognition as a Leader in The Forrester New Wave: Extended Detection and Response (XDR) Providers, Q4 2021, The Forrester Wave: Endpoint Security Software As A Service, Q2 2021, and The Forrester Wave: Enterprise Email Security, Q2 2021.

According to the report, Trend Micro continues to innovate significantly beyond its public perception, and customers highlight its interoperability across the portfolio as a key differentiator.

As per the Forrester Wave findings, “Analysis is the most time-consuming part of the incident response process. To improve the analyst experience, organizations should prioritize vendors that provide relevant, streamlined context for investigation and threat hunting by linking events together, providing timely threat intelligence, and leveraging dynamic risk scoring for processes, MITRE ATT&CK techniques.”
