Veeam Software has announced a new upgrade to its flagship product, Veeam Backup & Replication, as well as a number of additional product enhancements that enable cloud-native capabilities. Veeam Backup & Replication v11a is the replacement for Veeam Backup & Replication v11, which was launched in the first quarter of this year. Over 300,000 people have downloaded the most advanced data security solution for Cloud, Virtual, Physical, SaaS, and Kubernetes workloads since its initial release.
Veeam Backup & Replication v11a continues to innovate and expand, with an emphasis on expanding its ecosystem of integrations. Expanded native protection for AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, Veeam backup repository integration for Kubernetes, and centralised management for IBM AIX and Oracle Solaris protection are among the new features added to Veeam’s platform as businesses migrate to the cloud. Veeam Backup & Replication v11a adds even more platform support, including Microsoft Windows Server 2022, as well as new features that help maintain data security no matter where it is stored.Finally, enhanced Continuous Data Protection (CDP) adds support for VMware VSAN and VMware Virtual Volumes (vVOLs), allowing RPO, RTO, and SLA targets to be met with a single integrated solution independent of primary storage technology.

Enterprise customers are taking advantage of containers’ flexibility and power, but fragmented solutions make backup, recovery, and insight into container backups difficult. Customers of K10 and Veeam will be able to leverage current backup infrastructure investments thanks to the new integration introduced as part of Veeam Backup & Replication v11a. Kasten K10 v4.5 will be able to direct backups of Kubernetes clusters using VMware persistent volumes to a Veeam Backup & Replication repository, where the backup’s lifecycle can be managed and additional Veeam features and capabilities can be used.
Veeam Backup & Replication v11a now supports dependable integrated backup for Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) in a supported public beta, allowing users to create efficient backups of RHV VMs using native change block tracking and be prepared for any disaster. Veeam customers can accomplish recovery objectives with confidence utilising a versatile solution natively integrated with RHV, thanks to quick recovery for RHV VMs.
Veeam expands its revolutionary fast recovery functionality to more hypervisors with Veeam Backup for Nutanix AHV v3. Customers may now restore image-level backups made by ANY Veeam product to a Nutanix AHV VM for rapid disaster recovery of any workload, including cloud, virtual, and physical workloads. Nutanix AHV 6.0 or later is required for this capability.
Veeam continues to make significant advancements in server backup with new platform support and capabilities that simplify deployment and management. Customers can now embrace the latest versions of Microsoft’s server and client operating systems with confidence that their data can be backed up and recovered, thanks to support for Windows 10 21H1 and Windows Server 2022. Veeam ONETM v11a, the leading monitoring and analytics solution for Veeam Backup & Replication, now offers deeper insights into data protection, with an emphasis on cloud, security, and enterprise capabilities. Veeam Backup for Google Cloud Platform now has alerts and reports to assist manage and analyse the efficacy of cloud backups, as well as a new look into immutability, which helps guard against harmful cyberthreat activity. Veeam Agents for IBM AIX and Oracle Solaris, which can now be controlled centrally with Veeam Ba, provide increased reporting for advanced views as well as complete monitoring and reporting for enterprise customers with Veeam Backup & Replication v11a.

Veeam Service Provider Console v6 is a FREE product that allows cloud and managed service providers to offer Veeam-powered BaaS and DRaaS to their customers from a centralised, web-based console.
